Content > Hosting Hosting allows you to easily store files online within your account. For example, you might want to store .pdf files or image files that you will include in your messages. You can organize and edit your hosted files using the File Manager and Image Manager. Both the File Manager and Image Manager are described below.

Hosting allows you to easily store files online within your account. For example, you might want to store .pdf files or image files that you will include in your messages. You can organize and edit your hosted files using the File Manager and Image Manager. Both the File Manager and Image Manager are described below.

Uploading  Hosted Files

  1. Go to Content > Hosting.

  2. Click Upload on the Hosting Page.

  3. Either drag and drop the files you’d like to upload or click Add Files and select the files from your computer or network.

  4. Click Upload.

  5. Click Close to continue.

Viewing Hosted Files 

When viewing files in Hosting, there are two view mode options for the page, List and Thumbnail. Both views will allow you to access the files and all of the options.

List - Shows the files listed with their file names

Thumbnail - Shows the files as small images

To view one of the fiels hosted on the site, use the steps below.

  1. Go to Content > Hosting.
  2. Click the checkbox next to the file you wish to view.
  3. Click Manage.
  4. Click View.
  5. The view window will display the image.

Deleting Hosted Files

  1. Go to Content > Hosting.

  2. Click the checkbox next to the file you wish to delete on the Hosting page.

  3. Click Manage.

  4. Click Remove.

  5. Click Ok in the pop-up message that appears to delete the file.

Note - All files stored in the application hosting space syndicate through Akamai's content distribution network in order to optimize file download times. If you edit a file or upload a new file with the same name as an existing file, it will often take a few minutes to update across the Akamai network (E.G. - you upload the file, then we distribute the file across Akamai's network of computers). If you are experiencing delays, then odds are your file has not completed the network refresh. If it takes longer than 5-10 minutes for your file to update, try refreshing your browser cache. If this does not solve the problem, please contact support.

 

Filtering Hosted Files 

Filtering allows you to locate hosted files contained in a particular folder.

Note - Filtering is not the same as searching. Filtering will not locate any files that are located in another folder.

  1. Go to Content > Hosting.

  2. Type in the name of the file you wish to locate in the Filter text box.

  3. Click Filter. The filter will return any files contained in the folder you are viewing that match the name you entered.

Organizing Hosted Files

You can use folders to organize your hosted files any way you like. The folders will appear in alphabetic order.

To create a new folder on the Hosting page:

  1. Go to Content > Hosting.

  2. Click Create.

  3. Click Folder.

  4. Type in a name for your folder in the Name text box.

  5. Click Create to create the folder.

To rename a folder: 

  1. Click the checkbox next to the folder you wish to rename on the Hosting Page.

  2. Click Manage.

  3. Click Rename.

  4. Type a new name for the folder.

  5. Click Rename.

To delete a folder: 

  1. Click the checkbox next to the folder you wish to delete on the Hosting Page.

  2. Click Manage.

  3. Click Remove.

  4. Click Ok to delete the folder.

To move a hosted file to a folder: 

  1. Click the checkbox next to the hosted file you wish to move on the Hosting Page.

  2. Click Manage.

  3. Click Cut.

  4. Open the folder you wish to move the hosted file to by clicking on it.

  5. Click Paste.
