Detailed Event Registration
Detailed Event Registration
Detailed registration requires members to name all registrants, including guests. To add a registrant, members must click on a registrant type: Member or Guest (when eligible). When adding members, they have three options.
1. Members can add other members who are eligible for the event (within the acceptable age range and not filtered by Member Status or Dues Class (Member Type, Fee Billing) by way of the Autocomplete field by simply typing a minimum of three letters in their first or last name. After doing so a list of options will be displayed from which they can select the member they wish to add.
2. Members can utilize the Member Search on the right hand side to search for a member by first or last name by entering at least three characters of their last name into the field provided and clicking search. Alternatively, members can click on any letter of the alphabet to filter their search by starting letter of surname.
3. Members can add their Buddies and/or Groups by way of the Buddies tab on the right of the Member Search area to the right of the registrants list. These are the same Buddies/Groups members would use in Tee Times or Court Booking, except they would be filtered based on eligibility to attend an event or whether or not they are excluded based on Member Status or Dues Class.
To add guests to a registration, the booking member need only select the Guest registrant type and then enter the Guest’s name and email address in the fields provided – while not a mandatory field, the Guest Email ensures that email notifications will inform the guest of his/her inclusion in the event registration.
For events utilizing Age Applied Registrant Categories, member registrants will be slotted into the appropriate Registrant Category based on their Date of Birth (DOB) on file. For those members for whom you don’t have a DOB, they will be assigned to the Registrant Category specified as the default within Create/Edit Event. Since Guests are entered on the fly, there is no DOB associated with them, and thus they, too, will be assigned to the default. In all cases, members will have the ability to reassign the Registrant Category.
Upon adding all of the registrants, if the event has Booking Questions, Individual Questions or both, a Questions button appears at the top right of the registrants list. In order to proceed, members must click on the Questions button.
Booking Questions are listed once per booking and Individual Questions are listed once per named registrant. Any questions labelled with a red asterisk (*) are mandatory and a response must be provided in order to complete the Registration.
Upon answering all questions, members can click on Register to submit the registration. Provided the registration does not exceed any limits (Event Attendance or Booking Attendance), the registration will be completed and they will receive a confirmation on screen.
