Content Management > File Import
File Import

The File Import allows Administrators to upload multiple files to the site at one time instead of having to upload each file, individually. The files can be uploaded to any node within the Content Tree.

You will need to have the Silverlight add-on installed in order to use this tool. You can download it directly from the Microsoft website here: https://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight/

Uploading Files

  1. Within Applications, navigate to Content Management > File Import.
  2. Select the target alias path. This is the document within your content tree where the files uploaded will be stored. Example, images for an image gallery will be uploaded to the Image Gallery page.
  3. Leave the default culture to English - United States unless certain that the website is setup for an alternative culture.
  4. Click Select Files to browse the local device for images to upload. Select an image and hit OPEN or double click an image to add it to list of files to import.
Use SHIFT+Click or CTRL+Click keyboard shortcuts to select multiple files at once.

  5. Once all the files have been selected, click Upload Files to copy them from the device to the website. As each file is uploaded, a green check mark will confirm the success. Please do not leave the page while the files are uploading, if you switch to another page and not all the image files have a green check mark, this will interrupt the upload. Which means you have to find out where the upload stopped and reselect the remaining photos and go through the process again.
